PineRidges Art Council 2013 Juried Art Show

It was with some trepidation that I entered my first juried art show this month in the PineRidges Art Council Juried Art Show. I was thrilled to be a selected artist for my work sea turtle dreams (2012) in the show. I was also particularly honoured to have been chosen for the Wild at Heart Studio Award.

Steve and I went down to the Reception and opening of the show last night to view all the varied and wonderful art lining the walls of the McLean Community Centre in Ajax, and to receive my award. We had a chance to meet and chat with the juror, Peter Marsh, past President of the Canadian Society of Painters in Water Colour, and his wife.

I was also honoured that my turtle hangs next to the beautiful portrait of Christopher Chapman, painted by Daniel Colby. I have had both of my sons portraits done by Daniel, who I have long admired as an amazing talent.

The show is on display until November 22nd. Thank you PineRidges Arts Council.
